Sun Devil Club Hosts Supporters at Sun Devil Athletics’ Weekly Family Dinner

Sun Devil Club hosts family dinner for supporters in Student-Athlete Facility

More than 100 Sun Devil Club members and their guests joined Sun Devil student-athletes for dinner in the Student-Athlete Facility on Wednesday, October 24.

The supporters were able to choose between two different servings, with an early dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. and a late dinner from 6:30-8 p.m., and nearly every sport was represented, ranging from hockey, wrestling, men’s basketball, baseball and swimming to volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, track and field and men’s and women’s tennis, among others.

Since the Student-Athlete Facility opened in the summer of 2017, Wednesday night dinners in the space, open for all Sun Devil student-athletes, have become a maroon and gold tradition.

This complimentary dinner provided a chance for our supporters to interact with Sun Devil student-athletes and staff on a more personal level, get a first-hand look at the impact they are making on the athletics department, and glimpse into the department’s family atmosphere.

The Sun Devil Club Young Professionals Group (YPG) was also there as they served in a volunteer capacity to help check attendees in and guide them from the Carson Student-Athlete Center to the Student-Athlete Facility, among other duties.

All Sun Devil Club members who give at the Champion level ($1,200 and above) were invited to attend this special evening.
